Espace Killy in Val d'Isere

My first skiing trip! We flew to Lyon and went by coach to Val d'Isere - a beautiful but scary trip! The mountains are beautiful but the roads are too narrow and steep!

We stayed in a beautiful chalet with home cooked food - hmm! and a great fire place!

Val d'Isere is a village with a fantastic ski resort in the French alps. It has everything for everyone, bars, restaurants, shopping and events/activities. The slopes were amazing from green to black runs; many competitions take place in Vald'Isere from the olympics to the world alpine ski championships. The ski area called Espace Killy was named after the famous Jean-Claude killy who learnt to ski in Val d'Isere. Needless to say I started on the green run and ended up on a red run by the end of the week! Skiing is exhilarating!

Apart from skiing, I also went to a classical concert in an old church and went paragliding in my skiis! It was the best feeling and an unforgettable experience!

can't wait to go again!......
